All the IDAA conferences first start with an introductory presentation with the purpose of introducing the conference theme.
The introductory presentation provides brief glimpses into topics surrounding this theme from various guest speakers from different academic and career fields.
These "brief glimpses" also aim to inform and provide a rough contextual background to student attendees about the subjects discussed in the Interactive Seminars.
NOTE:
The IDAA Introductory Presentation is open to everyone.
Registration is compulsory for admittance into this event.
Following the introductory presentation, student participants partake in interactive seminar discussions with speakers in smaller groups to dive deeper into the subjects introduced in the presentation.
Towards this end, each interactive seminar enables students to:
Further enhance their communication skills
Develop their ability to perform higher-order analytical thinking about various complex issues
Provide a platform to voice their thoughts in a scholarly manner outside of the classroom.
NOTE:
The IDAA Interactive Seminars are only open to faculty and students attending an accredited academic institution at the undergraduate, graduate, and/or medical school levels.
Registration for these seminars is compulsory for admittance and participation in these seminars.
